Southeast Georgia is forecast to stay warm through Friday, while Thursday’s coastal outlook includes possible minor flooding near high tide and a high rip-current risk through the evening. High tide is forecast for 11 a.m. at 9.5 feet.

The flooding risk was linked in the forecast to the full moon earlier this week and strong northeast winds. Flooding is not expected along Highway 80 from Bull River Bridge to Tybee Island. Low tide is listed for 5:40 p.m. at 0.4 feet.

Meteorologist Jonathan Myers’ forecast calls for a mix of sun and clouds Thursday, with more clouds along the coast. Highs are expected to reach about 80 in most areas and the mid-70s on the islands. Thursday night should be mostly clear, with a low around 60.

Friday, Oct. 30, is expected to remain mostly sunny, dry and warm, with highs near 82. For Halloween on Saturday, Oct. 31, the forecast is mostly cloudy with isolated showers and a high near 78. Spotty showers are possible during evening trick-or-treating. Sunday, Nov. 1, has the weekend’s best chance of rain, with a few showers possible and a high near 76.

The outlook continues with a high near 78 Monday, Nov. 2, and a chance of morning showers. Election Day is forecast to be partly sunny with a high around 80. Wednesday should be partly sunny and warm, also near 80; Thursday, Nov. 5, is forecast to be mostly cloudy with showers possible and a high around 82.
