King-tide water reached parts of the US 80 corridor and Tybee Island on Tuesday, Oct. 27, covering sections of the McQueens Island Trail and crossing Old US 80.

At Lazaretto Creek Boat Ramp, water entered the parking area and rose close to the bottom of the fishing pier. It also reached the edge of US 80 and covered normally dry ground at the entrance to Fort Pulaski National Monument. At Bull River Marina, the water rose beneath a dock.

On Tybee Island, the tide moved through the marsh and around docks at Chimney Creek. Waves reached the beach and pier, coming close to covering the beach. The account provides no tide-height readings or reports of closures or damage.
