A coastal flood advisory was in effect for coastal communities through noon Tuesday. Fort Pulaski’s morning high tide was forecast to bring the gauge to 9.7 feet, a level between minor and moderate flood stages.

Meteorologist Alysa Carsley’s forecast put Wednesday’s 9 a.m. high tide at 9.6 feet, within minor flood stage. That stage begins at 9.5 feet. Tide levels are expected to ease after Thursday and remain below that threshold.

Tuesday’s forecast called for sunshine and highs in the upper 70s. Wednesday is expected to start near 50 degrees and reach about 80, with breezy northeast winds bringing additional clouds. Breezy conditions are expected to continue through Thursday, followed by partly cloudy skies into Halloween.

For Halloween on Saturday, the outlook is mostly cloudy, with temperatures in the 70s through the evening. A stray sprinkle is possible later, although the overall forecast is dry.

A cold front is expected to approach Sunday, with scattered rain and storms possible before it moves away early next week. Highs are forecast to remain in the upper 70s to low 80s. Clocks are due to move back one hour Saturday night.
