LONG COUNTY — The Long County Board of Commissioners approved spending $60,750 on a 2025 road widener during its July 7 meeting.
The equipment will be purchased from Reynolds-Warren Equipment Co. The motion passed, but the meeting minutes do not identify the funding source, expected delivery date or specific road projects where the machine will be used.
A road widener places material along roadway shoulders and edges, giving county crews another tool for road construction and maintenance work.
