Happy Halloween, Southeast Georgia! From all of us at News Now Georgia, we hope your Saturday is filled with creative costumes, plenty of treats and time spent making memories with family, friends and neighbors.
Today is Saturday, Oct. 31, 2026. Whether you are getting little ones ready for their first Halloween, setting a candy bowl by the front door or planning an evening out, check your community’s recommended hours before heading out.
Below is a county-by-county guide covering Appling, Bryan, Bulloch, Chatham, Effingham, Evans, Glynn, Liberty, Long, McIntosh, Tattnall and Wayne counties. Recommended trick-or-treat times are listed where a 2026 announcement could be verified. Organized festivals, trunk-or-treats and haunted attractions have their own hours, which are identified separately.
A recommendation for one city should not be assumed to apply to every city or neighborhood in its county. Where no verified time is listed, families should check with their local government, police department or neighborhood organizer. The absence of a verified listing does not mean Halloween activities are prohibited.
Liberty County
Hinesville’s recommended trick-or-treat times are between 6 and 8 p.m. today. The two-hour window was announced for Oct. 31.
For an afternoon option, the Liberty County community calendar lists the City of Midway’s Fall Festival from 1 to 4 p.m. at 41 Charlie Butler Road. It also lists Trunks, Treats & Eats from 3 to 7 p.m. at Walthourville Meat Market, 5715 W. Oglethorpe Highway.
Fort Stewart lists 6 to 8 pm.
Separate 2026 neighborhood trick-or-treat recommendations could not be verified for Midway, Walthourville, Flemington, Allenhurst or Riceboro. The Midway festival and meat market celebration are event hours, not citywide trick-or-treat windows.
Chatham County
Savannah’s recommended trick-or-treat times are between 5 and 8 p.m. today, according to the Savannah Police Department. Police plan neighborhood patrols during the evening.
Several organized Halloween-day options are also available. Chatham County lists a 2 to 4 p.m. trunk-or-treat at Memorial Stadium following an 11 a.m. flag football game. Savannah police will host Blue Light Fright Night from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Central Precinct, 1710 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, with a haunted walk-through and candy.
On Tybee Island, the North End Trick-or-Treat Trail runs from 2 to 5 p.m. at businesses around Tybee Oaks and The Shoppes at 1207, 1207 U.S. Highway 80 E. The event is open to all ages without tickets or reservations.
In Pooler, Chatham Subaru’s Trunk a Treat is listed for 5 to 8 p.m. at 100 Kita Avenue. These are organized event times. Separate 2026 neighborhood recommendations could not be verified for Pooler, Tybee Island, Garden City, Port Wentworth, Bloomingdale, Thunderbolt or Vernonburg.
Bryan County
Richmond Hill: Recommended times are 6–9 p.m.
A separate 2026 neighborhood recommendation could not be verified for Pembroke or unincorporated Bryan County. Residents should check announcements specific to their community before choosing a route.
Bulloch County
For Bulloch County, including Statesboro, recommended trick-or-treat times are between 5 and 9 p.m. today, according to Sheriff Noel Brown. He encourages families to begin gathering up around 8:30 p.m. and residents to switch off porch lights around 9 p.m.
Brooklet’s recommended times are between 5 and 7 p.m. The city and its police department encourage families to begin wrapping up around 6:45 p.m., with participating households turning off porch lights at 7 p.m. Families visiting Brooklet should use its separate local window.
Separate town-specific recommendations could not be verified for Portal or Register. Drivers throughout the county should be especially attentive to families walking between homes.
Effingham County
Effingham County: Sheriff’s recommended times are 6–9 p.m.
Separate municipal recommendations could not be verified for Rincon, Springfield or Guyton. Check local announcements and any neighborhood plans for additional guidance.
McIntosh County
In Darien, the McIntosh County Sheriff’s Office Halloween celebration is scheduled for 5 to 8 p.m. at the Darien precinct, 702 North Way. The announced food and treats include shrimp, hot dogs, french fries and candy.
In Shellman Bluff, Friends of Shellman Bluff’s Trunk or Treat and Chili Cook-Off is scheduled for 5 to 8 p.m. at 7554 Shellman Bluff Road in Townsend. Candy, games and free hot dogs while supplies last are planned; chili tasting tickets are $5.
Both listings are organized events. A separate countywide or Darien neighborhood trick-or-treat recommendation could not be verified.
Glynn County
Downtown Brunswick’s Trunk or Treat is scheduled for 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Norwich Street. The updated event announcement identifies Norwich Street as this year’s location, with decorated trunks and candy for families. The surrounding Día de los Muertos celebration is advertised to continue until 10 p.m.
The trunk-or-treat’s hours should not be read as a countywide neighborhood schedule. Separate 2026 recommendations could not be verified for Brunswick neighborhoods, St. Simons Island, Sea Island or Jekyll Island.
Tattnall County
Glennville’s announced trick-or-treat window was Thursday, Oct. 29, from 6 to 8 p.m., and has already passed. The date and hours appear on the city’s official event page.
Reidsville’s 2026 calendar entry likewise lists trick-or-treating on Oct. 29 from 6 to 8 p.m. That listed event has also passed. Neither listing should be presented as a new Saturday-night recommendation.
Separate Oct. 31 recommendations could not be verified for Collins, Cobbtown or Manassas.
Wayne County
Trick-or-treat recommendation 6 to 8 pm
For families considering a haunted attraction, Web of Fears lists Halloween-night admission from dusk to 10 p.m. at 3307 Grantham Road in Jesup. Its vehicle entrance gate closes at 9:30 p.m. This is a paid haunted trail with its own schedule, not a neighborhood trick-or-treat event.
Long County
Ludowici neighborhood trick-or-treat recommendation 6 to 8 pm.
Evans County
A 2026 neighborhood trick-or-treat recommendation could not be verified for Claxton, Hagan, Bellville or Daisy. Families should confirm their community’s plans locally; an earlier downtown celebration does not establish Halloween-night hours for the entire county.
Appling County
A 2026 neighborhood trick-or-treat recommendation could not be verified for Baxley, Surrency or Graham. Check current local announcements or neighborhood organizers for the plans where you intend to celebrate.
Help make it a safe, happy Halloween
Before leaving home, agree on a route and a meeting place. Young children should have an adult with them. Choose costumes that allow clear vision and easy movement, and carry a flashlight or use reflective items so drivers can see your group.
Use sidewalks where available and cross at intersections. Avoid stepping into the street from between parked vehicles. Visit homes with porch lights on, accept treats at the door and respect households that are not participating.
Drivers can help by slowing down in residential areas, putting phones away and watching for children near driveways and intersections. Residents welcoming visitors should keep paths clear and secure pets. An adult should inspect treats before children eat them.
Event details can change, so confirm arrangements with organizers before traveling. However you celebrate today, News Now Georgia wishes every community across our 12-county coverage area a safe, fun and memorable Halloween.
