With Halloween approaching, News Now Georgia’s staff and their families have selected their top three haunted attractions of the 2026 season.

Our rankings reflect more than the scares inside. We considered the overall experience, including atmosphere, performances, creativity, length and how well each attraction managed its guests.

This year’s list features attractions in Jesup, Patterson and Savannah, with Alee Shriners earning our highest rating.

Third place: Web of Fears — Jesup
Overall rating: 6/10

An exceptionally long journey through the woods helped Web of Fears secure third place on our list.

Located at Blood Moon Acres, 3307 Grantham Road in Jesup, this year’s “Death Row Zombies” attraction begins inside a building before taking guests outdoors for most of the experience. Visitors receive a flashlight to navigate the wooded trails, adding to the atmosphere and anticipation.

Length was its strongest feature. The extended route kept our group wondering what might be waiting around the next turn, making it an appealing choice for visitors who enjoy a lengthy outdoor haunt.

Access and parking were also straightforward during our visit, with the entrance directly off a paved road.

Returning visitors, however, may recognize the trails from previous years. Updated signs clearly identify “repeat” and “exit” routes, making navigation easier but reducing some of the uncertainty our group enjoyed in the past. Choosing the exit at those intersections also means missing part of the attraction.

More changes to the trails and additional creative elements would help give repeat guests a fresher experience. Still, its length, suspense and flashlight-guided exploration make Web of Fears worth considering, especially for first-time visitors.

Organizers have announced that 2026 will be their final season at this location.

The final scheduled weekend is October 30–31, from 7:30–10 p.m. Admission is $17 online or $20 at the gate. Tickets are available at “weboffears.com” (https://weboffears.com). Comfortable shoes suitable for wooded trails are recommended.

Second place: Screamz 2.0 — Patterson
Overall rating: 7/10

Creative scenes, energetic actors and thoughtful details earned Screamz 2.0 second place.

Located at 2685 Shellie Trail in Patterson, the attraction impressed our group with its scenery and layout. Several scenes offered ideas that stood out from other haunts we visited, while the actors brought personality and energy to the experience.

Screamz 2.0 also included some welcome extras. Free popcorn added to the outing, and a duck scavenger hunt encouraged guests to watch their surroundings closely, with a prize available for completing the challenge.

Although visitors reach the attraction by a county-maintained dirt road, access and parking presented no difficulty during our visit.

Our main criticism was the length. We wanted more time inside, particularly given the quality of the scenes and performances. Expanding the walkthrough would make an already enjoyable attraction more satisfying.

Screamz 2.0’s final scheduled nights are October 30–31, from 8–11:30 p.m. Admission is $20 per person, cash only. There is no ATM on-site.

First place: Alee Shriners Haunted House — Savannah
Overall rating: 9.5/10

A well-executed experience inside and strong organization outside made Alee Shriners Haunted House our top pick for 2026.

Located at 100 Eisenberg Drive in Savannah, the attraction impressed our group before we even entered. Despite the crowd, the line moved steadily, and staff maintained enough space between groups to preserve the surprises ahead.

That pacing matters. When groups follow too closely, guests can see scares unfold before reaching them. During our visit, the spacing allowed us to enjoy the attraction without feeling crowded against those ahead.

Once inside, the quality continued. The presentation was well done, and our group came away impressed with the work behind the experience.

We look for strengths and areas for improvement during every review. On this visit, we could not identify a specific shortcoming worth highlighting.

The combination of organization, pacing and overall quality earned Alee Shriners a 9.5 out of 10—and first place on our 2026 list.

Its final scheduled weekend is October 30–31, from 7–10 p.m.

These rankings reflect the opinions and experiences of News Now Georgia staff and accompanying family members during their visits. We thank the attractions that hosted our group.
