McIntosh County commissioners unanimously authorized the county manager to sign a $53,000-a-year agreement to provide emergency dispatch for Ludowici through the county’s 911 center.

The board took the action Sept. 8 at its regular meeting in Darien City Hall.

The meeting began at 10 a.m., and the assistant county manager explained the contract before commissioners voted.

The vote authorizes the county manager to sign; it does not confirm the contract has been signed. No start date or contract term was stated.
