Red Cross blood donation appointments are scheduled in Savannah, Pooler, Hinesville, Darien and other communities from Nov. 1 through Nov. 15. The organization is asking people who are able to donate blood or platelets, with donors of all blood types needed and type O donors especially sought to help maintain the supply ahead of the holiday rush.
People who donate from Oct. 19 through Nov. 22 can receive a $20 gift-card offer. It consists of a $10 Amazon gift card sent by email and 500 bonus points, redeemable for a $10 e-gift card through Blood Donor Rewards.
Appointments can be scheduled through the Red Cross website, by calling 1-800-RED CROSS or with the Red Cross Blood Donor App.

Bacon and Bryan counties
In Alma, a drive is scheduled for Nov. 12, 1-6 p.m., at Alma Lions Club, 208 E. 4th St. In Bryan County, donors can go to the PACFiber Headend Building, 685 E. Bacon St., on Nov. 5 from 2-6 p.m.
Chatham County
Pooler’s Botanic Apartments Pooler Main Lobby, 3002 Benton Grv., will host a drive Nov. 3 from 1-6 p.m.
At the Savannah Blood Donation Center, 25 Tibet Ave., appointments are listed for Nov. 1, 8 a.m.-2:15 p.m.; Nov. 3, 1-7:45 p.m.; Nov. 4, 1-7:30 p.m.; Nov. 5, noon-6:45 p.m.; Nov. 6, 9 a.m.-3:45 p.m.; Nov. 7, 8 a.m.-2:45 p.m.; Nov. 8, 8 a.m.-2:15 p.m.; Nov. 10, 1-7:45 p.m.; Nov. 11, 1-7:30 p.m.; Nov. 12, noon-6:45 p.m.; Nov. 13, 9 a.m.-3:45 p.m.; Nov. 14, 8 a.m.-2:45 p.m.; and Nov. 15, 8 a.m.-2:15 p.m.

In Swainsboro, Southeastern Technical College’s Swainsboro Campus Building No. 1, 346 Kite Road, has a drive scheduled Nov. 12 from noon-6 p.m.
At Winn Army Hospital, 1061 Harmon Ave. at Fort Stewart, the listed hours are Nov. 13, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Hinesville appointments are Nov. 2, 2-6 p.m., at Legacy Home Improvement, 229 W. General Screven Way, Suite P, and Nov. 6, noon-5 p.m., at Liberty County YMCA, 201 Marylou Drive.
Darien’s Glory Worship Center, 14760 Ridge Road/Highway 99, will host a drive Nov. 10 from noon-5 p.m.
Montgomery, Screven and Toombs counties
In Ailey, Higgston Baptist Church, 512 James St., is scheduled for Nov. 10, 1-6 p.m. In Mount Vernon, Montgomery County High School, 601 Dobbins St., will host a drive Nov. 11 from 9:15 a.m.-2:15 p.m.
