Georgia families should check their toothpaste after a nationwide recall involving more than 4.3 million tubes sold under the Brush Buddies, evo and ARU brands, including several varieties marketed to children.
According to U.S. Food and Drug Administration records, Pritam International Private Limited of Haridwar, India, initiated the voluntary recall on September 10, 2026.
The FDA classified the 17 affected products as Class II recalls on October 19. The products were distributed by Ashtel Studios Inc. of Ontario, California.
The FDA lists distribution as nationwide. Georgia shoppers may have purchased the affected products, although the recall records do not identify individual Georgia stores.
Why the toothpaste is being recalled
The FDA identifies the reason as “CGMP Deviations,” referring to current good manufacturing practice requirements.
The entries reviewed do not describe the specific manufacturing failures or identify a particular contaminant.
Class II recalls involve products that may cause temporary or medically reversible health problems, or situations in which serious health consequences are considered unlikely.
What shoppers should check
The affected products include Barbie, Hot Wheels, Crayola Silly Scents and My Little Pony toothpastes; four ice cream flavors; and adult whitening, sensitivity, gum health and cavity protection varieties.
Match the product name, size, National Drug Code (NDC), lot number and expiration date on your tube or carton to the entries below.
A brand or flavor match alone does not establish that a particular tube is recalled. The FDA list includes expiration dates from November 2026 through December 2028.
If your toothpaste matches a recalled lot, set it aside and contact the retailer or distributor for return or disposal instructions.
A refund procedure is not specified in the FDA entries reviewed. Ask a dentist, pharmacist or other healthcare professional about health concerns or a suitable replacement.
