President Donald Trump’s Oct. 24 Georgia rally has been moved to the Guardian Center in Perry, replacing the previously announced Macon location. The change puts the event in Perry, with Trump’s remarks scheduled to begin at 7 p.m., according to the White House Rapid Response 47 account.
Former President Barack Obama is scheduled to campaign in metro Atlanta on Oct. 28 for U.S. Sen. Jon Ossoff and Democratic gubernatorial nominee Keisha Lance Bottoms. Former Vice President Kamala Harris is set to join Ossoff two days later as keynote speaker at Fulton Forward, a fundraising dinner for the Democratic Party in Fulton County.
The three appearances are planned ahead of Georgia’s Nov. 3 election. Ossoff is facing U.S. Rep. Mike Collins, who appeared at Trump’s rally last week and has closely aligned himself with the president. Bottoms and Republican Rick Jackson are running to succeed outgoing Gov. Brian Kemp.
The October schedule follows Vice President JD Vance’s visit to Atlanta last week. Vance spoke to supporters at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
