Sgt. Christopher Dandridge was arraigned at Fort Stewart on Wednesday, Sept. 2, as the military case stemming from a June gunfire incident formally moved forward.
The U.S. Army’s public court docket lists multiple alleged violations of the Uniform Code of Military Justice, including assault, domestic violence, communicating threats, breach of peace and failure to obey an order.
During Wednesday’s proceedings, Dandridge chose to have his case heard by a panel of eight service members instead of a military judge alone. He remains in pretrial confinement while the case continues.
The charges are connected to a June 8 gunfire incident near Engineer Road that prompted officials to place Fort Stewart under a temporary lockdown. No injuries were reported.
The arraignment marks the latest development in the case, with the alleged offenses now publicly listed and the panel responsible for deciding the case selected.
