BULLOCH COUNTY, Ga. — A 14-year-old Southeast Bulloch High School student was arrested after allegedly threatening to shoot a Southeast Bulloch Middle School student during a verbal confrontation on a school bus.
Officials emphasized that the incident involved a dispute between two students and was not a threat directed at either school.
The Bulloch County School District said multiple students reported the alleged threat to administrators and provided written statements during the investigation.
School resource officers searched the high school student, the bus and classrooms with assistance from a K-9 unit. No weapons were found.
A Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office patrol unit was then requested at the high school. The teenager was taken into custody and transported to the Bulloch County Jail for processing.
The student was charged as a juvenile with one count of terroristic threats and one count of disrupting public schools. The teenager was returned to a parent after being processed.
