With Governor Brian Kemp officially term-limited, Georgia is guaranteed to see a brand new leader take the helm this November.
The November 3rd general election stage is set, and independent election forecasters are already calling this high-stakes race a dead-heat toss-up.
Here is a quick look at the two candidates vying for your vote:
🔵 Keisha Lance Bottoms (Democrat)
The former Mayor of Atlanta is running on a platform aimed at delivering for working families and bringing “steady leadership” to Georgia. Bottoms has drawn significant attention for her education platform, which includes a pledge to entirely eliminate state income taxes for public school teachers.
🔴 Rick Jackson (Republican)
An Alpharetta-based healthcare executive, Jackson is leaning into his outsider business background, arguing that Georgia needs a leader who isn’t a career politician. He is running heavily on affordability and border security, promising to freeze property taxes and cut the state income tax in half.
With two vastly different visions for the future of our state, turnout will be everything.
