One person died after a head-on crash involving two vehicles near East U.S. Highway 80 and Triplett Park Drive in Pooler Friday night, one of two weekend crashes involving entrapments, Pooler Fire-Rescue said.

C-Shift firefighters responded to both incidents. In Friday’s collision, one occupant was in cardiac arrest and had to be extricated. Crews attempted resuscitation, but the person died, the department said.

A separate crash happened Saturday afternoon at Tanger Outlets Boulevard and Outlet Parkway, where a vehicle rolled onto its side. Firefighters stabilized it and removed the windshield to get the driver out safely. Pooler Fire-Rescue also urged drivers to watch for trick-or-treaters as Halloween approaches.
