A $67,760 Highway Visibility Enforcement grant will support the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office with equipment and funding for efforts to reduce crashes and prevent injuries in the county.
The sheriff’s office announced Wednesday that it had received the grant. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration provides the funding, and the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety awards it to recipients.
The grant runs through September 2027. The announcement did not identify which campaigns the office will take part in.
