Livingood’s opened a 138,000-square-foot headquarters and showroom in Pooler, adding space for its operations and product displays as the family-owned business marks 50 years. The company held a ribbon-cutting Thursday.
The facility combines the company’s offices with a showroom featuring an interactive kitchen-appliance display, including products from Sub-Zero, Wolf and Thermador. The display is described as the area’s largest live, interactive kitchen-appliance showcase.
A separate 4,000-square-foot area is devoted to kitchen and bath plumbing displays. It includes an interactive shower display with dozens of shower-head options.
Todd Livingood, the company’s vice president of operations, said the new space will allow Livingood’s to expand customer services, delivery operations and office and support staff. He said the company has doubled its warehousing and has more capacity to serve customers with additional products.
Phyllis Livingood and her late husband, Dale, founded the business in Savannah in 1976 as a small appliance store on Skidaway Road. It has since expanded to locations in Pooler and Okatie, South Carolina.
