A new loop through Savannah will bring half-marathon runners back to Forsyth Park on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2026, for a Finish Festival. Organizers of the Savannah Southern Half Marathon and Fleet Feet 5K expect more than 6,000 runners as the event returns for its second year.
The half marathon begins and ends at Forsyth Park. Along the way, its new route passes through historic neighborhoods and by the Savannah Bananas stadium. Organizers say the loop is intended to make the time before and after the race more convenient for runners and spectators.
Organizers report that registration is up 120%. They expect entries to sell out and encourage prospective participants to register early. The Fleet Feet 5K is a separate, 3.1-mile option that welcomes walkers and families with young children.
At Forsyth Park, the Finish Festival is planned to include local music, food and other activities. The event also offers connections with local run clubs and training runs, along with giveaways, partner perks and a local Spotify playlist.
Motiv Sports produces the race. Its managing director, Crystian Kumnick, said organizers want to keep improving the runner experience and showcasing Savannah. Participants who want to fundraise through the event’s American Cancer Society partnership can join Team DetermiNation, which supports cancer research, advocacy and patient support.
