LIBERTY COUNTY — Liberty County commissioners approved a small outdoor event venue at 956 Freedman Grove Road after the owners reduced the proposed capacity from 150 guests to no more than 40.
The venue, proposed by Lindsey Goff and Christian Edens, may host weddings, private gatherings, photo sessions and similar reservation-only events. The revised plan centralizes 10 unpaved parking spaces near the existing asphalt driveway.
Events must follow reasonable operating hours and local noise rules. Vendors must be licensed and insured, portable restrooms must be provided when required, and clients will be responsible for cleanup and waste management. The venue will not sell or serve alcohol, although private clients may bring their own.
The conditional-use approval is tied to the current owners and will not automatically transfer if the property is sold.
