ATLANTA — Democratic candidate Keisha Lance Bottoms and Republican candidate Rick Jackson have agreed to participate in a live debate in the race for Georgia governor.
The one-hour debate is scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 6, at 8 p.m. It will be broadcast live from Assembly Studios in Atlanta and carried across Gray Media television stations throughout Georgia.
The event will use a modified town hall format, allowing undecided Georgia voters to ask the candidates questions directly about issues affecting communities across the state.
Atlanta News First anchor Rick Folbaum will moderate the debate.
A 30-minute pre-debate program will begin at 7:30 p.m. Post-debate coverage and analysis will follow at 9 p.m.
Additional information about voter participation and local streaming options is expected to be released closer to the debate.
