A City of Pooler firefighter was arrested following an incident Friday at Del Sur restaurant in Pooler.
The firefighter, identified as 33-year-old Tyler Cook, is accused of slamming a man’s head into a wall while Cook was intoxicated.
Pooler police arrested Cook and charged him with battery. He was later released from jail on a $1,500 bond.
The City of Pooler said Cook has been placed on administrative leave without pay while the city conducts an investigation into the incident.
Del Sur said Cook has been permanently banned from the restaurant.
Cook has hired an attorney, who said the case will go to court in October.
