ALMA, Ga. — The FBI is assisting in the search for Amy Grace Robertson, a 16-year-old reported missing from Alma on Oct. 21, as investigators pursue leads that have reached Bulloch and Chatham counties.
Robertson had been missing for more than a week when the FBI’s involvement was confirmed Friday, Oct. 30. Authorities are asking anyone with information about her whereabouts to contact the investigator handling the case.
Last seen walking away from home
According to the City of Alma Police Department’s missing juvenile flyer, Robertson was last seen around 6:30 p.m. Oct. 21, walking away from her residence in Alma.
The flyer describes her as 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighing approximately 120 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a blue sweater and black sweatpants with multiple patterns and colors.
Police were called to a home off Floyd Street around 7 p.m. that evening following a report of a missing juvenile. Officers spoke with Robertson’s guardian and began investigating.
Search expands beyond Bacon County
Alma police requested assistance from the Alma-Bacon County Crime Suppression Unit. Police officers, members of the unit and Bacon County sheriff’s deputies searched woods near the residence but did not locate Robertson.
In an Oct. 26 update, Alma police said calls and investigative leads had taken officers into surrounding counties and as far as Bulloch and Chatham. She had not been located as of that update.
Those leads do not establish that Robertson was seen in either county. The search began in Alma, in Bacon County, and investigators are continuing to seek information that could help locate her.
