Teckrez expects to move more than 600 shipping containers through the Port of Savannah in 2027, up from 400 expected in 2026, as the chemical supplier expands its distribution operation in Pooler.

The company marked its distribution-center partnership with Porter Logistics at a 230,400-square-foot warehouse about five miles from the port. The facility will include a lab for sampling and testing products.

Jake Arcuri, Teckrez’s senior logistics analyst, said in-house testing will help the company check product quality and speed deliveries to customers.

Porter Logistics is investing more than $1 million in the center and adding technical and warehouse jobs. The company has not specified how many positions it will add.

Teckrez brought its satellite operations together in Savannah earlier in 2026, according to the report.
