Union Mission’s Empty Bowl fundraiser on Nov. 1 will benefit its new Emmaus House Resource Center, which provides services for people experiencing homelessness. The event is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Reynolds Square in Savannah.

Guests can sample soups prepared by Union Mission’s culinary team, along with food from The Olde Pink House, Collins Quarter, The Sentient Bean and Leopold’s Ice Cream. The fundraiser will also feature harpist Kristen King, handcrafted ceramic bowls and a branded tote for guests to take home.

Union Mission says Emmaus House serves nearly 200 people daily. The center brings meals, medical care, counseling, case management, workforce development, dignity services and housing navigation together in one location.

An optional tour of Emmaus House is scheduled for 1:30 p.m., after the fundraiser. The center is at 127 Fahm St., and parking will be available.
