Pooler Fire-Rescue has debuted a rescue truck designed to give firefighters an accessible space to put on equipment while traveling to an emergency.
A Pooler city official said Monday that the truck is the first of its kind for Chatham County. The department expects to put it into service soon, but no specific start date was provided.
The truck is included in a $2 million investment in fire-rescue services. The individual cost of the vehicle was not specified.
