McIntosh County commissioners unanimously approved zoning changes for two parcels in Townsend at their Sept. 8, 2026, meeting.
One approval covers a 45.14-acre parcel on Pine Harbor Road NE. The request from Gillis AG & Timber Inc. changes its designation from Agricultural Forestry to Agricultural Residential.
The other changes Douglas G. Bell’s 10-acre parcel on Susie Baker Road SE from Agricultural Forestry to Residential 2.
The board met at 10 a.m. at Darien City Hall. No effective date for either zoning change was listed.
