Southeast Georgia should see a mostly clear, mild start to the week, with a Thursday cold front bringing a chance of isolated showers and cooler temperatures expected by the weekend. The outlook covers the Coastal Empire and Lowcountry.
Most places began Sunday in the 50s, though a few inland spots were in the upper 40s. Afternoon highs are expected in the 70s, with light winds and mostly clear skies. High pressure is keeping the region calm behind a cold front that passed Friday.
Through Wednesday, overnight lows are forecast in the upper 40s to lower 50s, while daytime highs trend toward the upper 70s and near 80. Another front is expected to approach Thursday and could bring isolated showers as it moves through. Severe weather is not forecast.
Temperatures are expected to fall behind the front, with weekend highs in the 60s and lows in the 40s.
