Veterans and active military personnel will be honored at a free community meal in Darien on Nov. 11. Sheriff Thornell “T.K.” King is sponsoring the seventh annual gathering.
The meal is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the McIntosh County Sheriff’s Office Darien Precinct, 702 North Way. The event is open to the entire community, and each veteran will receive an appreciation gift from King and his friends.
