Ramone Willie Green, 40, was indicted Wednesday in connection with the October shooting death of 20-year-old Saul Garcia. Green faces charges of murder, aggravated assault, kidnapping with bodily injury, and possessing a firearm as a convicted felon during a crime.
Savannah Police Department officers responded to President Street and Wahlstrom Road on Saturday, Oct. 10, after a report of an unresponsive pedestrian struck by a vehicle. Garcia had a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Court records indicate prosecutors will seek recidivist sentencing if Green is convicted.
