Pooler City Council voted 4-2 on Monday to deny a rezoning application for a proposed development with 1,000 multifamily homes, two hotels, retail space and a gas station, a city spokesperson said.
The application sought to change the zoning on three parcels from JABOT PUD to Heavy Commercial with a planned district overlay.
The council had delayed its vote in July and again in September. In August, Planning and Zoning disapproved the development while reconsidering its multifamily component.
