A jury found Isaiah Goodman guilty of one count of aggravated assault Friday afternoon in the retrial tied to Michael Peguese’s 2020 killing in Garden City.
The jury deadlocked on malice murder, two felony-murder counts and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. A mistrial was declared on those charges, leaving them unresolved.
The murder case can be tried again, but no decision has been made about another trial. Goodman’s separate dog-fighting case remains pending and is awaiting its own trial.
