Taqueria Mi Ranchito at 249 Lawanna Dr. in Baxley received a score of 96 and an A grade on each of two separate permit reports from routine inspections dated October 20, 2026. Both reports name David Brown as the inspector.
Two permit reports
The Georgia Department of Public Health records identify permit FSP-001-000130 under report 57558021 and permit FSP-001-000131 under report 57558032. Both list Taqueria Mi Ranchito at the same Appling County address and an inspection time of 9 to 10 a.m.
Each permit received its own 96/A result. Both reports list a previous score of 100/A on May 6, 2026, and an earlier score of 97/A on October 21, 2025.
Handwashing supplies cited in both reports
Each report cites item 2-2D — adequate handwashing facilities supplied and accessible, with a four-point value, under rule 511-6-1.07(3)(b). The inspector recorded that paper towels were missing at the handwashing sink in the base.
For both permits, the finding was marked as a new violation, not a repeat violation, and was not marked corrected during the inspection. The matching wording describes the finding recorded on each permit report; it does not establish two separate incidents.
Temperature observations
Both reports list the same temperature observations: 41°F ambient temperature in the base reach-in cooler; tomatoes at 37°F in the mobile prep-top cooler; beef at 159°F in the mobile steam well; eggs at 40°F in the mobile reach-in cooler; and just-cooked soup at 211°F on the mobile stovetop.
The records mention both base and mobile equipment, but they do not assign one of those site labels to a specific permit number. Each permit and its score are therefore identified separately above.
About the inspection
These reports document conditions observed during the October 20 inspections. Their scores are not a guarantee of conditions before or after that date.
