SAVANNAH, Ga. — A third person has been arrested in connection with a violent June assault near Ellis Square in downtown Savannah.
The Chatham County Sheriff’s Office announced the latest arrest Friday morning. Sheriff Richard Coleman said the suspect faces multiple felony charges related to the attack.
The case began after video showed several people repeatedly punching, kicking and stomping a man near West Congress and Barnard streets. The victim suffered serious injuries.
Two suspects were arrested earlier in the investigation. Authorities are continuing to search for a fourth person believed to have been involved.
The latest arrest marks another development in the months-long investigation, but the case remains active while the final suspect is sought.
