The Effingham County Board of Commissioners unanimously postponed a decision on Project Camellia’s site plan, allowing more time for answers about wetland impacts and written assurances for a 20-foot berm along Hodgeville Road.

The board tabled the approval at its Tuesday meeting until its regular meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 17. Commissioners and the developer debated residential protections, berms and environmental impacts.

Octans GA LLC representative Rich Modliszewski presented a revised layout with six compute buildings split between two project areas: four in Area 3 and two in Area 4.

Modliszewski said the proposed campus had been reduced from 30 million square feet and 30 buildings to roughly 3 million to 4 million square feet and six buildings.
