Bryan County is preparing to begin a major water infrastructure project that will strengthen fire protection and improve public safety for residents in the Groover Hill community.
Thanks to a $1 million Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) from the Georgia Department of Community Affairs, the County will install approximately 8,000 feet of new water main, along with fire hydrants and other essential infrastructure.
The improvements will:
✅ Strengthen fire suppression capabilities throughout the community.
✅ Provide firefighters with greater access to reliable water sources during emergencies.
✅ Expand public water availability and provide additional water service options for nearby properties.
The project represents a total investment of approximately $1.14 million and is expected to benefit around 60 residents.
Improving infrastructure. Strengthening public safety. Serving our community.
