Savannah State University’s homecoming is underway in Savannah, and Macayla Moody and Tivon Adams have been crowned the university’s 2026 Miss and Mr. SSU. Their crowning took place Thursday.
Friday’s festivities included Yard Fest and an alumni fish fry. Homecoming co-chairs LeAndrea Mikell and Moncello Stewart were involved in preparations ahead of the day’s activities.
The university’s Powerhouse of the South band was also preparing for the parade and game day. Christopher Taylor and Jaiden Howard are the band’s drum majors.
