An Atlanta man received a 93-month federal prison sentence for an October 2025 robbery at a Savannah CBD dispensary, where he threatened employees with scissors, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.
Corey Corley, 34, must also serve three years of supervised release and pay $1,251.56 in restitution. The sentence followed his guilty plea to interference with commerce by robbery. Federal prison sentences do not include parole.
The dispensary is on West Victory Drive. During the robbery, Corley took scissors and used them to threaten employees, directing them to get down. He then put merchandise from display cases into a duffel bag and ran from the business.
Savannah police officers responding to the robbery saw Corley fleeing and pursued him. He tried to discard the bag as he ran, but was caught. Police searched it and found multiple items from the dispensary.
U.S. Attorney Meg Heap said the robbery put an employee at risk and credited the Savannah Police Department’s response with Corley’s quick apprehension. Brad Snider, supervisory senior resident agent at the FBI’s Savannah office, said robbery puts employees at risk and described the FBI’s work with law enforcement partners on violent-crime investigations.
The FBI and Savannah Police Department investigated the case. Assistant U.S. Attorney Makeia R. Jonese prosecuted it for the Southern District of Georgia.
